About The Organizations
In 2009, the Waldo Community Improvement District (CID) was formed to provide a source of funding for the ongoing maintenance and beautification of the area. The Waldo CID’s boundaries are generally commercial areas on Gregory Boulevard between Oak Street and Wornall, and on Wornall Road between Gregory Blvd and 85th Street. Areas of service include landscaping, security officers, little and graffiti abatement, marketing and promotion of the CID.
The Waldo Area Business Association (WABA) has been representing the interests of the Waldo Business Community since 1965. In addition, WABA is engaged by the Waldo CID to support its efforts in the areas of promotion, events, property, security, accounting, and marketing. All businesses and property owners within the CID boundaries are automatically members of the Waldo Area Business Association. WABA also has area businesses outside their boundaries as dedicated members that choose to join.
